Glom India was founded with a mission to provide an effective and accessible online learning environment. At a time when authentic information on Renal Replacement Therapy isn’t readily available, Glom India acts as a metaphorical filter in the field of Nephro-science. The aim is to deliver factual information which is easily accessible. The Glom India offers a personalised learning dashboard that empowers learners to study at their own pace and outside of the traditional classroom. The academy encourages students, technicians and aspiring doctors with a desire to develop 21st century skills that support lifelong learning. Glom India is open to everyone, worldwide. Founded by Dr Jigar Shrimali MD, DM Nephro (Gold Medalist), the aim of the academy is to provide credible information in the domain on Nephrology. The objective of the academy is to promote global awareness and understanding in the field of Renal Replacement Therapy and Nephrology by creating truly diverse and worldwide online community.

With the deep clinical insights, he has always had a reputation amongst the Dialysis Technician and the student fraternity. From the regular interactions with the community, back in 2014 he felt the need to help them by conducting lectures specially to help them get a better understanding per the standards of Indian Standards of Dialysis Technology.

With a vision of helping the community by sharing his knowledge and experiences, he conducted several workshops across Gujarat. In the same course, he felt the need to provide a comprehensive literature to those who need the same for their ready reference. While delivering lectures on 35+ topics, after numerous calibration sessions with the prominent Nephrologists & Technicians he had proactively come up with the first edition of “Textbook of Dialysis Therapy” where he had joined hands with Glom India & Meher Publication. The first edition was very well utilised by the community and he decided to take this to another level, help the entire fraternity globally – research more upon the subject and launch the second edition.

Glom India, an initiative of Dr. Jigar Shrimali, exists so that he can now reach to maximum number of technicians and provide them dynamic learning opportunities. Glom India is a result of his vision of helping the community in whatever way he can.
